Julie Blocker
Julie Blocker worked in Sen. Carol Alvarado’s office on issues relating to energy, the environment, water, business, and healthcare. She staffed Sen. Alvarado on the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Economic Development. Julie is a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Sustainability Studies and minor in Business and Public Policy. After the fellowship, Julie joined the Public Utility Commission of Texas as a Regulatory Analyst.

Kameryn Granados
Kameryn Granados is from Houston and worked in Rep. Todd Hunter’s office, playing a key role coordinating between the State Affairs Committee office, their main Capitol office, and their district office. Kameryn is a Baylor University graduate who earned her degree in corporate communication and environmental studies. After the fellowship, Kameryn returned to Baylor to complete her Master’s in Communications. She will return to Rep. Hunter's office as a full-time staff member next session.

Denisce Palacios
Denisce Palacios is a community organizer from the Rio Grande Valley who worked in Rep. Erin Zwiener’s office, as well as with the Texas Energy & Climate Caucus. She worked on bills related to carbon accounting, water, EVs and more. Additionally, she staffed Rep. Zwiener on the House Natural Resources Committee. She now serves as the TX State Lead for Climate Cabinet.

Hafiz Hussnain Shah
Hafiz Hussnain Shah worked in Rep. Drew Darby’s office on a range of energy bills, including carbon capture, hydrogen, geothermal, and transmission. Hafiz completed his MBA and Ph.D. in Wind Science and Engineering from Texas Tech University. He is an entrepreneur and project developer with a passion for energy policy, economic modeling, and environmental sustainability. After graduating, he started his own consulting firm, Cyn-Era Renewable Solutions.

Anagha Uppal
Anagha Uppal is a computational social scientist with a Master's in GIS. She worked in Rep. Cecil Bell's office and staffed Rep. Bell on the House Committees on Energy Resources, Environmental Regulation, Human Services, Transportation, and Healthcare Reform. After the fellowship, Anagha joined the PowerHouse Texas team as Acting Program Director.

Natalie Villafranca
Natalie Villafranca is from Dallas and worked in Rep. Rafael Anchía's office on issues relating to market design, grid reliability, and the environment. She staffed Rep. Anchia on the House Committees on Energy Resources and State Affairs. Natalie recently graduated with a M.S. in Biology from Texas State University. After the fellowship, she started a Ph.D. in Marine and Environmental Biology at the University of Southern California.
